May Meeting - Claudia Collins Aquatics

Please join us on Tuesday, May 24th at 6 pm, in-person at our new location, in the Georgia Room at Brandon Wilde, or live on Zoom and Facebook Live. Claudia Collins, Director of Adapted Aquatics at the Wilson Family Y, will present and lead discussion about the unique benefits of aquatic exercise and the opportunities available here in the CSRA. The Y’s Adapted Aquatics Program offers a 50-minute group class designed specifically for people affected by Multiple Sclerosis or Parkinson’s disease, held at “Katie’s Pool,” a 33 by 60-foot heated shallow- and deep-water therapy pool with a wheelchair ramp. Don’t miss this special guest!

To get to the Georgia Room at Brandon Wilde, enter the community at 4275 Owens Road, follow signs to the main entrance, and park in any visitor spot. We will have a golf cart shuttle available from the visitor spots to the main entrance and there is a porte-cochere for drop-offs. Logan will greet you and direct you to the Georgia Room, which is just up the hall from the main lobby. Please bring a covered potluck dish if you are able. We will provide chicken strips and beverages.
